LOROL is the train operating company responsible for running the London Overground network which we do under a Concession Agreement with Transport for London (TfL).
LOROL was formed by combining two of the most reliable and customer focused railways in the world and is a joint venture company between MTR Corporation of Hong Kong and Deutsche Bahn AG of Germany (DB). DB's interest is managed by Arriva, the division responsible for regional passenger transport outside of Germany.
Both companies have a reputation for delivering top quality customer service, which we enhance with the London Overground. Our vision is to transform our railway, connecting communities across London and we aim to achieve this through our people, our greatest asset.
TfL takes a very close interest in how we deliver the service, ranging from the punctuality of trains to customer service at stations. TfL employs a dedicated team to monitor and support LOROL in the delivery of all the obligations set out in the Concession Agreement. This team works alongside LOROL at our headquarters in Swiss Cottage and a close partnership has developed between the teams.
